One of our favorite events took place last weekend in Berlin: At the Maker Faire tinkerers, makers and visionaries came together in Germany’s capital to share their exciting and innovative projects with the public. According to the organizers the 2016 Maker Faire Berlin was a huge success. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, more than 17.500 people visited the event. The Maker Faire was also a success for Tinkerbots. Not only did we have the chance to exchange ideas with other makers, we were also able to gain a lot of new fans at our booth.
On Friday, the Maker Faire Berlin started with a school day with over 2.000 visitors. School kids and their teachers came to discover what the event had to offer. Among 3D printing, introductions to coding and robotics, some kids might even have found an inspiration for their future job.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Maker Faire Berlin was opened for all visitors. Some highlights were the Robocup tournament, where young makers let their robots compete in a football match, the R2 Builders Club as well as the Wasteland community and their Mad Max style vehicles. There was also a lot going on at the Tinkerbots booth. Young and old fans were able to test our robotic building sets and get some advice by our team. The next Maker Faire Berlin will be held from June 9th till June 11th and Tinkerbots will probably be on board again.
